The Aldrich Green Scholarship fund hopes to aid educational endeavors by offering scholarships to graduating Cumberland high school seniors. The fund will offer educational grants as scholarships to graduating high school seniors who aspire to continue their education at the college level. We would like to invite all seniors to apply who conform to the criteria below.
General Information:
Up to a $1,000 scholarship will be given to a student annually but will be distributed $500 per semester for the time he or she is enrolled in the college of his or her choice. The money could be used for tuition, fees, books, or living expenses for any two or four year Colleges, Technical Schools, or Junior Colleges. Preference will be given to applicants who are less financially able to obtain a higher education and may not be receiving other scholarships or grants.
Criteria
• Applicant should have good academic standings.
• Applicant should have some school involvement.
• We may consider work experience for determining recipient.
• Applicant should have a good citizenship/behavior.
Special consideration will be given to students planning to return to Cumberland County to reside in and/or seek employment.
An annual progress report will be required for consideration of renewal or extension of the scholarship. This per semester award may be granted for up to four years. Grades and a next semester billing from recipient will be required for further advances. The recipient must maintain not lower than a C average while attending his or her college choice.
Upon completion of this application, it is the property of the scholarship committee and is non-returnable to the applicant.

Camp e3 is a summer camp for future entrepreneurs and will be offered at Eastern Illinois University from July 17-20, 2012. Individuals that are 14 to 18 years old and are interested in becoming an entrepreneur are encouraged to participate in this learning experience.
First Neighbor Bank is pleased to announce that they will be offering 7 scholarships to this camp for individuals that are in school within their immediate service area. One scholarship will be given to a student from each of the following schools. Cumberland Unit #77, Neoga Unit #3, Casey-Westfield Unit #4C, Martinsville Unit #3C, Charleston Unit #1, Shiloh Community School District #1, and Mattoon Community School District #2.
